Trust and social capital are an integral part of many current discussions concerning social cohesion and solidarity as well as economic, political, and social change. The concepts are central to discussion on topics as different as ghettos, economic growth, the participation of citizens in volunteer associations, development of citizenship, and the continued backing of central institutions in the welfare state. The workshop is open to all contributions concerned with trust and social capital, regardless of research area and methodological approach.
